There was a huge expectation with this movie, not for SRK but for Gouri Shinde. She is making commercially successful sensible movies which are very uncommon in Bollywood.I assume, the strategy is to take a common popular star for an uncommon character.
Sridevi in ‘English Vinglish’ and SRK in ‘Dear Zindagi’ are the same factors of that precalculated risk.
SRK must do this type of movies more and more. I must say, after ‘Chak De India’ this one is the only sensible role done by SRK; others were good but not exactly up to this extend. Alia Bhatt became too early for this movie but still she does her best. Expecting Kunal Kapoor to be on screen more. Must watch this on theater.
